ULTRA WIDE FIELD M51

Well the go to was not great with the big C11 andit was getting late so had a quick bash at M51 with the ED80 , love doing these wide field ones, just 20 subs as i was to tired to carry on ,

That's about the scale that I can get with my D40 at prime focus on

my 130mm F5 reflector

Will be a happy guy to get one near to that come the next decent sky

Really nice shot Roger, its nice to see the context for the galaxy for a change. Once I get a bit better I think I'll try piggy-backing my WO66 on the C8 and try wide field shots (so much to try, so few dark nights..!)
