Hey Guys,

My name is Chris and I am 35, I live in the Fenlands in the UK. I am new to Astrology but am no stranger to photography. I have recently got myself a 5" Skywatcher Reflector telescope and decided to fix my DSLR onto it. I got the Scope second hand from my local Camera shop and then spent a while cllimating it which thankfully turned out okay. I was directed here by Caz from PTON for which I am really greatful :D

I am currently hoping to get the Meade ETX-125PE very soon as I hear this a good scope to get. I am hoping it will be okay to use for Astrophotography. I have taken some shots of the moon so far which can be found here:

I also managed to see Saturn for the first time this evening which reallt made my day, I could make out the rings and the shadow behind it but didnt have time to set my camera up and get some shots before the fog dropped :D .

Anyways, Hoping to get to know you guys over time, I hope to learn more about my new hobby - AstroPhotography from you guys. Just hope I can get the Meade sometime soon.

If anyone is interested, my website is www.static-thought.com Not astro-related but its only a matter of time before my images find their way onto my site. The gallery is a work in progress because I hate how it looks but thats another story.

Anyways, Thanks for a great forum and look forward to chatting some more soon. Take care & regards

Chris

Make yourself at home Chris :D

Some fine pictures on your website 8)

Might be worth sticking a post in "Equipment Discussions"

re getting a scope, what budget you have and what camera you will be using.

Might be some more suggestions from folks to compare with your choice

of an ETX125...
