1st ever astro pics!!

I know......pretty pants compared to the fabulous photographs posted on here, but the moon was so gorgeous last night, I just had to have a go!! Just a 'point and shoot' compact camera held at the eyepiece, no changes,(wouldn't have a clue), but......I'm chuffed as nuts!!!

Great first pics northern nutter. I tried to get a full moon pic but no chance with this weather. It gets addictive this astrophotography, once you take one you can't stop....

These are great first pictures You've done a really good job grabbing out the details on a full moon.

Good pics mate. ther's nothing wrong with holding your camera at the ep, that's all i do and i've managed some good shots of the moon, even zooming in with my fone camera i get to the point where i can only see acouple of craters, although the quality starts to suffer.

Nice one nutter! That's how I started, a point and press plus one of these First Light Optics - Baader Microstage Clickstop digital camera adapter

Makes life much easier than holding the camera by hand.

Wow! Lovely pics. I tried to take a shot of the moon using my iPhone 3G last week (first light on new scope) down the ep. Blurry, bright and with a big black dot in the centre. I guess I need to get th camera lens closer to he ep lens.
