i did some pics the other day will put them up saturn is a great sight at the minbut do in 15x 3 min vidsis a real pain

hi the new scope looks great the grab and go bit is ace,i some times just take the 90mm refractor out .it gives ,sometines better crisp images of the moon visaully the 12"dob is second to mome here but freind as a 4.5 and he couls see the viel neband others

hi a was videoing sturn the other night i done 7x3 minutes x8 for each one i restacked the 8 pics which had a average of 7500 frsmes not posted them i will put them all in one pic ,did you manage any video ? did you find any way to convert to avi.leo is on my list its high and south from around 22:00 went out tonight but the wind was gusting at around 14mph even with just one side open in the maje shift obs,get a look at m57 with the lpf filter the donut ghost pops out .the final throw of the viel neb also is much more than before have a great trip and new targets also overwhelm me every time its something i can not explain

Hi all have you downloaded all the files for the when you download stel it comes with the normal stuff goto
config window
clik tools
and at the botton you will see were it says download catalogues download them all makes stell 100 times better

hi nice report the behive is great when the dob gets here your in for a treat esp at lower power my 12 " dob and filters have kept me awake to the early hours hundreds of times

to be fair the mark one eye ball is the best tool for the showers or binoculars,i have tried with both scopes and have only seen a couple streak past binos or the normal eye the field of view must be as wide as poss for me i`m out side at the min a want to get polaris again but with the lpf in placea got from flo yesterday let us no if you see any thing pat

there is one major shower the aprils LYRIDS APRIL 19TH onwards ,with its max on the 25/31 sort of around lyra hercules coronna boral north eastish i think a saw a few my self last night

hi paul these where all done with the cannon 10d last night what a was after was a star trail around polaris ,and a went indoors to get the cuppa tea when a come back to it all,the shot was 2.12secs and when a looked at the pic there was only a tiny bit odf traling a then dropped down to 1.35 and the shots came out well a will use the 2" light pol filter a got of flo yesterday and do the same shots to see how that works ,have ya had a play with that webcam yet and hope you both ok

hi sounds like a good night the low moon gave me chance do take some pics but saturn is always worth a look and to not down its moons and were they are a will have a go to night

whysosirus,hi use filters for planets mainlyi have a couple a others for neb ectbut color ones are great a have 12 multi colored ones last night i used green blue light yellow on the moon they bring out diferent features and let you have another view of the target i have some pics of the moon a did the other day a will post them later and you will see how they look cheers pat

hi isabelle,i was go in for the full set of pics but last night wa cloudy the forcast says it will be clear at 01:30 thats late but a want to get the full moon so a can have the full set for archive for aprils moon phases how you get in on with things ?

ps the street light that gives ya hasslw get somw long nose pliers and turn the triangle shaped nut,the cove will come of ,there a on of switch ,turn it of for 15 mins,turn back on,replace cover .the light will take 3 hours to light back up plenty of view in time repaet the above i do it all the time usally after 12 at night

give them a try a spent about a week test in all 12 filters a have and the fore mentioned work for m all tests were on the 12" dob

@ idlelimey.saturn is a fav of mine esp with dif color filters ,i use for staurn and have had some great results ,violet No47#,
light green No56#,and the on that gives the best view is yellowgreen No11#,blue No80a#

yes them scopes are not cheap ,i was have in a play with a 1000D the other night, telesto clive has one he brought it round to my house and took a few pics,of the moon with the 12" dob they a nice cam the screEn did not turn of tho and deep space pics was ok as well picked a few thing outin the pics can not wait to see ya pics,did you get the short orlong adapter ?

they zoom pretty well download them and have a crop and play they great to play abou with and it improves the editing skills abit ,the clouds are here a new they would be when its nearly a full moon always is
