saturn versus full moon!!

hi, just peeked at Saturn the full moon has blanched it out if thats the right word,it looked really yellow, not sharp at all could see rings but no sharpness on body of planet, even on full power. waited for it to come up above houses. ah well ile, have to wait till moon buzzes off. Although the moon looked really sharp and BRIGHT good detailing.

nice gathering of planets monday tea time.

Out Monday tea time, had a look for mercury, just above houses horizon line, no detail but did look like half moon, Venus very big and out doing Jupiter, and mars is now getting bigger has it climbs high early tea time. Although the moon was nearly full and blanking out the constellations. Orion is swinging well in to west now, shame really soon be loosing it.

But then again my sky-watcher mak 90mm good for planet viewing and orion neb, and moo

bit of a war going on mak 90 v heritage 130p

Well ive had the full regalia out tonight, sky watcher 90mm mak out , heritage 130p dob,out and sky watcher 15x70 bins out and the revelation eye kit out. Now then the mak has the power but the contrast is poor on high power, say 9mm 1250 focal length, but heritage 130p has good field veiw but you have to use x2 barlow and 15mm ep 650 focal length for Jupiter quite sharp though.. Trouble with heritage dob is that the focuser his screw helix type, and there is a bit of slop in it. Pliedies does n
