  1. Hi I can get it to work during day...but on scope takes me forever to get anything on the lap top screen, camera seems to lock up when you start messing with the sliders in the menu seems a delay, weather the cold his affecting it I don't know. I did get jupiter but it disappeared screen went black. Gave up spent 2 hours no footage, gave up.
  2. Read the above Ile give it another go when clearer!
  3. Hi, I've just bought on if these zwo 120..had a go on jupiter last night, cold! Clear, I could not get image on screen using sharp cap, it was just a round light properly the front correcter plate on the mak 127 tried inward outward focus, I focused on a 10mm e.p then put the camera in to the diagonal, does the diagnal need to be off, with the camera up the back of scope, or in a barlow in the diagnal, spent 2 hours nothing, gave up, very annoyed. Scope skywatchher 127mak.
  4. I've had to buy another laptop top! Windows 11, got it now the sync scan apps on .
  5. Nope still won't let me down load, his it because ive downloaded it on the phone? I've read that google apps are not allowed on Windows?
  6. Hi, how do you get the skywatcher app on a windows 10 computer? The down load button his grayed our, it says available for all devices but it's grayed out. Another thing his iam trying to connect to stellarium, says connected using a usb astro link cable from flo, but the scope won't move, it's on the correct com port. I can connect via wi fi to cares du ciel. I have read all the posts regarding this, yours Paul.
  7. Hi , yes I'm finishing up and right, I have pulled the sliders right across on the the phone setting, it does not do it on point and track. Yours Paul.
  8. Hi, all , can you help me with the AZ Gti mount, when I center on a object either in alignment or go to and it's a few degrees off , I put it on target but it keeps moving it back off, I have to over run the target to bring it back in center, it's very hard to get say jupiter or saturn in a 10mm e.p. I have owmed the mount and scope a few days mak127, location correct, pointed level north, scope on left side. Yours Paul.
  9. Hmm I have a dedicated canon 120d moded with a ha filter in it.. the red filter was takern out and s proper hA fitted, i shot Orion on my first go stacked 20 odd frames iso 1600 21 secs.. and it was a nice light purple nebula no moon was out, shot same exposure same time and very red! Moon was out quite bright, had to drag the ISO down to 800 and time down. Still red. So does the moon effect the HA? Yours paul.
  10. yeah, it was aright sight they reckon its space junk now and not a meteor, has i suspected anyway.
  11. Out in garden with scope it was 10.56 pm turned round looked up in east and....saw a massive fire ball coming overhead!! very low in sky, it was green with bits of red coming off it, a huge white tail with bits of blue red spewing off it AWESOME site, i dashed in house for camera but missed it has it disappeared west over the houses.
  12. yeah not too bad now with the pipe over and loads mor concreate in.
  13. Hi, out last night for a few hours quite cool but clear sky's around 9 pm till 10.30 pm, never seen so many stars in Cygnus!! here in the city, i was most impressed!! did try the camera on the dob but failed miserably, even found the Globular cluster in Hercules which has eluded me for some time!! with the help of Andriod sky map held on the eyepiece, and it points telling you where to go!! cheaper than a go to!! LOL was disappointed!! just a gray smudge!! nothing like the pictures i have seen. mind you Andromeda was the same just a gray smudge. UP this morning 4.30 am to 5.30, wow so clear, out with the evostar, Venus, our crescent moon, Jupiter, Orion you could actually see the nebular with the unaided eye thats a first been in the city. Pleiades was... jaw dropping!! i have not seen it this good for ages!! Jupiter was very bright, had to filter it a bit to see bands better, Then loads dirty black clouds rolled in at start of dawn, ah well! crawled back to bed!! quite pleased with my self.
  14. yep ive just done this, and behind the conifers there is a halogen light coming on and off!!! not happy. and a told you so off the wife!!
  15. Well finished the pier mount for EQ5 head and bolted it on the scaff pole which is in a foot square of concreate......looks good .....but the vibration on top end is terrible!!! i even pored postcreat down the scaff pole to numb it out a bit. plan is a 2 - 3 inch pipe over the scaff pole and more concrete in. Right ordered the 150mm flue liner pipe off e-bay £18 for 9 ft!! got it the next day!! very good service. i have chiseled 20 mm or so out for the pipe to slipe over scaff pole and concreated it a quarter of a way up, going to wait for that to set, then sink the box pier in to pipe set in concreate/ or post create quick set, thats the plan. margarine tub fits nicely on the scaff pole to center the flue pipe. Now its rock solid!! wants to be enough gears gone in it!! well heres the scope on the peir
