I use Sharp Cap Pro, it makes it so easy! no bending down to look through the polar scope. You would need the pro version, a subscription of £12 a year. https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/features/polar-alignment I have the EQ 3-2 , but have never had any problems with the RA axis, will take a look at what the RA setting circle is doing on mine, I never use it. Have you got the other parts that hold the other ring and a polar scope.

@iwols I have told you the wrong thing, it is 135mm back from the rear edge of the focuser. 🤦♂️ So if not using the diagonal you will need a ~ 36mm extension tube. I use the body of a 2x Celestron barlow. -

A Zwo Asi 224mc at prime focus is 60mm, if that's what you mean? -

Still very low, and bright sky. I thought Autostakkert would reject them with the seeing being so bad, like looking over a hot road! Sky-Watcher Explorer 150p on EQ 3-2 duel axis drives. Asi 224mc 2x Barlow + IR Pass 9 Frame mosaic stitched in Microsoft ICE, best 10% of 1,876 frames per stack in Autostakkert. June 3rd 2022 20:52 UT 16.1% Illuminated Very turbulent seeing Please click on to Zoom for full size image. Thanks for looking!

I have tried both StarNet2 and StarXterminator in PS and found them very similar. I found this YouTube video very helpful, and after watching it a couple of times, wrote down a work flow, which gets easier the more you use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K08Qno7H0lw&t=5s

Yes, use it a lot and find it gives fast easy results, I would suggest getting Gigapixel which is the same price I see now until 3rd June.

Aliens. (Vogon Constructor Fleet) All this happened as I found ICE yesterday, after believing for a long time that it was gone and no longer out there. So my excuse is these were never intended to be stitched, and I'm sticking to that 😉 Thanks for the compliment 😀

FWIW I used "New Panorama" on the Moon with four images. I'm guessing it found that an easy thing to do, and "Structured" as Vlaiv has shown is when it needs some help. What version of ICE did you get? I ask because yours looks different to mine in that yours has a dark background and mine is very light grey. Version 1.4.4.0

I just got a copy from here: https://www.downloadcrew.com/download/9789/microsoft_image_composite_editor_64-bit And stitched up the Moon https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/395271-moon-in-colour-stitched/#comment-4248205

Me to! Mine is falling apart, the binding is coming off the back, but it's full of pencil annotations on the maps from years ago 😁 15th edition Printed 1969.

I found it! But only after doing things to it in PS 😁
