  1. Webb Explores a Pair of Merging Galaxies. Release date:25 October 2022, 06:00 This image from the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope depicts IC 1623, an entwined pair of interacting galaxies which lies around 270 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Cetus. The two galaxies in IC 1623 are plunging headlong into one another in a process known as a galaxy merger. Their collision has ignited a frenzied spate of star formation known as a starburst, creating new stars at a rate more than twenty times that of the Milky Way galaxy. https://esawebb.org/images/potm2210a/
  2. You need one eye on the darker areas, another on the sharpening, and third eyeball on the highlights! And then when you look at it the next day, it all looks wrong again! Great images as usual.
  3. I prefer the top one. More because of the highlights being too high on the second one, I can't see much difference in the sharpening.
  4. Wes Higgins took this in 2006, wonderful image showing the church spire shadow's https://www2.lpod.org/wiki/January_17,_2006

  6. There is a peak to the left with a height of 2,300 meters. Looks to be in the right place. Virtual Moon Atlas. LAC image.
  7. There is also Astrosurface for wavelets and much more. http://astrosurface.com/pageuk.html
  8. Thanks! Look in Filters. It's a bit of a pain until you get a feel for where your going with it, but this is where I ended up. Note it's on "Perspective" top right.
  9. Nice image. Corrected (mostly) the slightly pointy stars with the Adaptive Wide Angle filter in PS.
  10. Thanks for sharing. I Like the detail on the IR Saturn, seems to have depth to it. Jupiter looks a bit cold/blue?, I know you must have done this already, but an RGB balance fixed it for me.

  13. I'm just looking at this 🤔 2.6.9 https://www.oldergeeks.com/downloads/file.php?id=3523 Edit: Nope, not working either.
  14. @symmetal Thanks for the great reply Alan, will have an adventure with that lot tomorrow!
  15. Thanks Alan, Sorry for the delay responding, I forgot to set a follow thread, and somehow did not see you response. Are you using the new version, 1.22.3 (Mesa) ? All I am getting with F7 is: And trying the one's you have listed above has no effect 😧
  16. I have the latest Stellarium V 1.22.3 Trying to find an answer to how to pause or stop a script other than going to Configuration and pressing the stop button. Is there a keyboard shortcut or some other way? I tried Googling this and got all sorts of different ideas, none of which work 😧
  17. Good image. If you balance the RGB in Registax you can get rid of the green tint.
  18. Sorry if already posted. Webb, Hubble Capture Detailed Views of DART Impact https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2022/webb-hubble-capture-detailed-views-of-dart-impact
  19. I took the liberty of taking your IR image above, and combining it with the colour from your image of the 22nd. So I layered onto your IR with 30% opacity, increased the saturation, to compensate for that, rotated the image to match as best I could, then the photoshop built in Snap feature completed that alignment. Flattened and saved. Not adjusted in any other way.
  20. Good clear image. I wonder if you could layer it on top of a colour version?
  21. I think you could call that a hit! Nice shots as usual.
  22. Google "dart mission" and see what happens to your screen 😉
