  1. Ah, you are not on the latest NINA I am on version 2 beta 13 so I think there have been some changes….👍🏼
  2. Do you use a USB limit of 0 or is that not set yet, also my gain only goes up to 350 and offset 250…strange….
  3. My QHY was all set to zero, gain and offset out of the box when connected to NINA, but I don’t use the ASCOM driver I use native…🤔
  4. I’m not really sure why they thought a tilt adjuster was not as important on the colour version….is it not as important on colour,? I don’t really know but I thought it would be the same..?? Or as the mono came out later, maybe they just changed the design and will change on newer colour models in the future….who knows.. 👍🏼 edit, I guess by the same logic why no CAA on the mono… 🤔🤔
  5. Yes, it’s a bit misleading as in the advert for the colour version it states it’s a tilt adapter, but it’s not, I think they must have used the same write up on both the colour and the mono…but I did read on a forum that someone posted, it was a CAA and not a tilt adjuster before I purchased so I was not disappointed when it arrived…
  6. Camera Angle Adjuster, for rotation adjustment….so on my QHY there are three thumb screws your can loosen and rotate the camera…👍🏼
  7. There is no built in option to correct tilt on the latest QHY either, just a built in CAA …. ☹️
  8. I think this is where you are confusing people, when you say “4 seconds per frame total 2 minutes per image x 15” It should say 450 x 4 second images giving a total of 15mins, as each frame is an actual image….
  9. Glad it’s arrived safe and sound, the colour looks lighter than on the aliexpress site, not that it matters…I went for the QHY colour option in the end as it was on offer at MA for £1650 So went for it….👍🏼 768 wow that is a large offset…😮
  10. This was my first, Dumbell Nebula taken with an unmodded canon 1000D DSLR about ten years ago, through an 8” Mede SCT, stacked in DSS cropped and finished in PS, 30 x 3 min subs with darks…
  11. thanks 👍🏼 So you leave the desiccant tube fitted all the time…? And the heated window…is that just on all the time…? Or can it be turned on and off…..
  12. Hello, I just took delivery of this QHY268c CMOS camera and I use NINA, I have a couple of questions, First is there an option for turning the heated window on and off, either in the Native or the ASCOM driver..? Secondly the camera came with a desiccant tube and a pot of desiccant balls, how do you know when this needs to be used ?, as my camera is on the scope all the time this time of year in an obsy…I don’t store it in a case between sessions… Finally what is the setting for USB traffic for ? and what to set that on ? I am moving from CCD so never had theses settings before to deal with thanks all Stuart
  13. Edited message above with info from the NINA forum
  14. Yes you just save the file from your C drive, appdata, Nina and put it into the same folder on the new laptop, you have to enable show hidden files as appdata is hidden by default I think….
  15. Is this the latest new complex sequencer in Beta 2 or the simple one in the older versions…?
  16. Basically you have a total image integration time of 1 hour, made up of 2 second exposures, (you need to forget the 1 minute part as it has no bearing) which is just not enough at all, now if you were taking 3 minute exposures, and take say 3 hours worth, then you will get a much better image, or even 1 minute exposures for 2 hours will give a better image…, but 2 seconds ain’t gonna cut it I’m afraid…☹️ Just because you are stacking 1 minutes worth of 2 second exposures and then stacking all the 60 x 1 minute stacked images together, it still only means you have 1 hour of 2 second exposures….I’m not sure how else I can explain…
  17. Each image needs to be a few mins and not 2 seconds, that is your issue, you need to sort tracking out first before moving forward, PA is super important
  18. No, each photo is not 1 minute, each photo is made up of 2 second exposures, for a total integration time of 1 minute, that is different
  19. Hi, Taking 2 second exposures for 1 minute is just not enough light gathering at all, you need to be taking several hours of say 1 min or longer exposures, all the excellent images taken with you camera will consist of much longer exposures than 2 seconds and many more of them, I’m sure someone who owns this camera will be along to give you a better insight into this than me…👍🏼
  20. Never even new it was still going, I was still using the original PHD up until last year, so simple and easy to use…..👍🏼
  21. +1 for the unit @tomato recommended, I use it and it’s superb…..👍🏼
  22. Yes, sorry I forgot to mention it was on the second edition, I have that one, it’s been out for about 12 months…
  23. I thought this version had the heated window, it’s shown on Aliexpress as having it…??
  24. Superb images, very impressive…. 👍🏼
