  1. It runs from 12v, so you just need a USB C to 5.5mm jack adapter…Simple’s….👍🏼
  2. This is taken from the NINA discord group, as an answer to an issue, posted by one of the developers…. “ i strongly recommend not running apps in general as admin. beyond that, we also dont test nina run as adminstrator on purpose, so it is not a supported configuration. it doesn't mean it won't work, it does mean we won't guarantee it will, weird stuff happens when interacting between apps and devices, and you just experienced one of them”
  3. The issue with the QSI drivers is they are only 32 bit, so you need the 32 bit NINA which you now have, but you should not need to run in Admin mode, and NINA developers say not to and don’t recommend it, as it can cause all sorts of issues behind the scenes in the program…..they don’t support issues when running in Admin mode… So I suggest you run the 32 bit programme and see if that’s ok, and avoid running in admin mode, if it does not work have a look on the NINA discord group for some advice…but my guess is they will say to contact QSI and ask for a 64 bit driver…. 👍🏼
  4. If you zoom right in on the gif, when it disappears, watch for it coming back, it actually appears slightly higher and then comes forward….very odd….🤔🤔
  5. Yes, it’s not easy, I managed it above, but best seen in the original gif…not really sure if it’s anything or not….🤔🤔
  6. Ok, so two images one with the white elongated mark showing and one without, this is actually flashing completely on and off in the gif, I realise the whole gif goes dim and bright, but this mark actually goes on and off, it sits between two stars as I have marked up…and is in the left bottom quarter around the middle of that area…
  7. I found something but have no idea how to mark it up on the gif…🤔🤔
  8. Well, simple but should be very effective, why did I not think of that….😂👍🏼
  9. The coupler fits into the scope focuser shaft, but it also slides slightly into the focuser housing, I think it’s here it’s binding, as the outside diameter is as wide as the focuser housing hole where the shaft protrudes….HTH…👍🏼
  10. There is also one other thing that is different between the AB and NINA set ups, the driver, and I had this issue with Stellarmate and an SX H18 camera, and it was the driver, not reading the camera correctly, something to do with the “chunk size” in the driver, whatever that means….. this was sorted in the end by the Indi developer…so one more thing to consider….
  11. Just a bit of fun, the JWST takes its first image….😂😂
  12. Yes I have heard this, but have you tried with 12v, you may well be surprised….after all it’s not going to do any harm, it will either work or it won’t….👍🏼
  13. This is why I just have mine on for a couple of hours per day. It just keeps out below 75% humidity, except after a session, then when I shut the obsy, I run for a few hours to clear any moisture out of the air…. During summer months it’s just not used at all, but I do run a 12v 25w heater on the base of the mount 12 hours a day overnight….this helps a lot and is much cheaper to run that the 300w desiccant dehumidifier…. At the end of the day, air movement plus a bit of heat = no condensation…..
  14. When you have your focuser racked all the way in, you want NINA to report a position of zero, this way it won’t crash the focuser into the housing, as it’s its a rack and pinion, it can cause damage, and same for max settings, I always set my zero a few MM from the end… Set it on the focuser tab, put zero in the box and sync…
  15. In NINA open the setting on the EAF driver page, move the scope to the start, and enter zero and set in the driver..and then set a max steps of 30000 and then it won’t go above that amount… The EAF focus motors are renowned for having quite a bit of backlash, so your figure is probably correct
  16. Yes…my issue with XRDP, was a long time ago, I just stuck with VNC, no real issues, but yea the mount issues were and are a nightmare and have pushed me back to windows and NINA, and well I have to say NINA just works, no issues at all, but the mount issue with the RPI and the MINI PC with Ubuntu, still bug me…🤔🤔 as I never got to the bottom of it and there is no logic at all to the issue…in fact the issue still persists with windows and NINA on the same mini PC, so I have to use a Bluetooth adapter for the mount….but it does work on my windows laptop…..so it’s not just LINUX….work that one out….😮😮
  17. I tried it, and it would connect, but only got a black screen…no desktop would show…🤔🤔
  18. What remote software do you use on the RPI to connect to is from RDP on windows…XRDP..??
  19. Just an FYI, the intel NUC will happily run off 12v, many people do including me….it’s no issue at all…👍🏼 no need for a 19v power brick
