  1. Love them both, but the second one stands out for me….superb…👍🏼
  2. The settings are all there, it’s just a case of knowing where, you need to take some time and get used to the software and where things are, before embarking on an imaging session with it, or it will be frustrating….easy enough to have a look around in the daytime…👍🏼
  3. But the other 6.5 megapixels is still a lot more than many older CCD cameras have In total….👍🏼
  4. Personally I think OSC CMOS is now faster than, older mono CCD…but mono CMOS rules for sure…..👍🏼
  5. 1.5 hours with 268c and L-Extreme filter….so just Ha and OIII….not bad….🤔 shot through a Tak FSQ85 at f5.3
  6. My flats are all different with different filters, so have to take them with each, I really don’t see how there is any other way if the dust bunnies show from each filter…🤔🤔
  7. These will work with both 2.1 and 2.5mm and are right angled which can be tidier too, they also do straight ones… https://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-2-1mm-2-5mm-Angled-Degree/dp/B016BJGZ2U?th=1
  8. How do you get away with not taking flats per filter. Don’t you get dust bunnies in different places from each filter and need to remove theses….🤔
  9. Yes the polarity should match fine, most Astro kit that uses these type of cables are always centre positive….well I have never seen one that is not in 15 years in and out of this hobby…. 2.1mm is probably slightly more common on kit than 2.5mm but they are both used, so it’s worth having a selection of cables, although there are many of these 12v power cables that with take both as they have a clever little spring loaded clamp in the centre section, so will fit in both 2.5 and 2.1 sockets
  10. Ok, well that needs to be set at 9600, also I don’t think the Cisco console cables have the correct wiring inside…they are wired differently…👍🏼
  11. Hmmm, yes I know it’s a cable method, I was asking which cable, Direct USB or EQMOD serial cable….they both bypass the handset….😉
  12. How are you connecting the mount to your PC, if it’s with Direct USB cable then the baud should be 112500 if my EQMOD cable to handset port, then it should be 9600
  13. You need to pack it with lithium grease too..👍🏼
  14. Yes, the fine focus knob will always spin 10 times to 1 turn of the full focus knob…
  15. Where are the ball bearings from the 10:1 reduction, were they missing….😮😮
  16. He said his guiding was good, well below 1.1. How does 1.1 relate to image scale, but never mind I will bow out now as, I have exhausted my help on this….👍🏼
  17. It’s not 1.1, it’s 0.55” in arc seconds what is perfectly average….👍🏼
  18. You need to refer to your guiding accuracy in arc seconds and not pixels, you say it’s 0.19, this is pixels, you should be quoting 0.55” this is what determines the actual accuracy of the guiding, as it’s a fixed figure, but in pixels it’s different for different cameras….so means nothing…..👍🏼
  19. I get this same effect, in the very edge of my FOV in one corner of my TAKFSQ85, and never found out what causes it, it’s never bothered me as it’s in just one corner, and I usually crop my images anyway… see here, top left corner of image and full image below it…
  20. Hmmmm, where have I heard this before….🤔🤔 it makes no odds of RA and DEC figures are very different, as long as the total RMS is under half of your imaging scale, it will not show up in any image…👍🏼
  21. Like Goran Said, it had already been pointed out several times before…..😉👍🏼
  22. I always aim for at least half of my 1.72”/pixel imaging scale as a goal for my RMS, but my issue is OCD, or more the fight against it taking over, to get it as low as possible, even though it makes absolutely no difference to the final image, and the more I tell myself.. “It’s fine at 0.6 or 0.7 RMS, the more I get the urge to get it lower…. The joys of being OCD…😂😂
  23. deleted.. sorry Adam meant to reply to a different post….😂😂😂
  24. I’m afraid this statement does, not make much sense to me either…. ”if RA is deviating twice as much as DEC, That the stars can be round” 🤔🤔🤔 like many of us have said, yes they can be, mine deviated nearly three times as much as DEC and my stars were pretty darn decent…….see graph here….not a great picture but you get the idea….👍🏼 BTW the stars you see are from the very edge of my FOV, with no flattener, and an APC-S sensor…
  25. Hmmmm, not so sure on that, I have to use an external USB 3.0 1200mbps adapter, as the internal one was rubbish, did think about fitting an external aerial for the internal card, but went for USB in the end, and has been flawless…
