  1. There will be a review. Svbony v LVW (8, 5, 3.5), SLV (6), TOE (4, 3.3), Ortho (7, 6, 4), Nirvana (7, 4).
  2. Lol, I think the Morpheus are ugly! I do like the SLV. Overall I prefer a plain look like my orthos and UFF. Function over aesthetics every time though. After all, it's all much the same in the dark
  3. That's what I used to do. It was too much for me. I do the same with the EQ5 and can manage that. An EQ6 is surprisingly awkward to pick up with all that weight.
  4. Difference between the two, single shot for each: I've processed to monochrome to loose the colour fringing. 120mm achro: 100mm apo:
  5. A C9.25 has a handle on the rear. It's very light too. I could pick it up with one hand even with my slipped disc. I sold it because I couldn't move the EQ-6 it needed to go on.
  6. There might be a few clear patches on Saturday according to CO. It may not be a record 100% cloudy March after all...
  7. Front of the 6se should look like this: As for collimation, a good start is to look down the tube. Place it 2-3 metres away and look down the tube from the corrector end. What you should see are concentric circles. Once you have those concentric circles you are ready to do a star test: Adjust the screws until it is perfect.
  8. It's, it's, it's... the moon! Well, I think what that bright blob is behind the cloud... Could easily be aliens though
  9. A lovely set of images ๐Ÿ‘
  10. It is f5. No idea what the p/v is, but it's pretty good. Moon is very sharp at x461 (3.3mm TOE). Jupiter doesn't stand high magnification, but here's my drawing through the 12": I've since found out the 7mm Nirvana actually measures 8mm... so this is x190.
  11. After my previous experience with OO I said I would never deal with them again. However, things might have changed since then. I could have afforded any 12" Dob I wanted, but I chose the StellaLyra and it's a winner. Optics are amazing, at least on the one I have. Here it is next to the shed where it's stored. I can't move it much farther due to a bad back.
  12. 12" is good ๐Ÿ‘ Here's my StellaLyra...
  13. That's a lovely image. Nice detail ๐Ÿ‘
  14. Forgot about that It's old age, the memory is going...
  15. Mine would be: Skywatcher ST80 OO OMC-140 Skywatcher 10" Newt Celestron C9.25 I tend to keep scopes a long time, so don't expect any sales anytime soon! Possibly the 8" f4 - I've had it six months and used it once... The Helios 120mm is well over 20 years old - a keeper as you would expect.
  16. I'd love to visit Iceland. My main interest would be photography though. Oh, and to see an active volcanic fissure. A nice walk to the top of รžorbjรถrn near Grindavik would be a lovely day out right now. - what a view! Fingers crossed the berms they constructed keep Grindavik safe though.
  17. You said: Implying it's the UK not the scope!
