  1. They look pretty good Neil, some nice detail visible there.
  2. Very nice Neil, some nice detail visible. Its all good practice for later in the year when they are both transiting the meridian in the dark at a decent time of the night.
  3. In this image is both noctilucent cloud (high altitude and illumuninated by the Sun) an normal clouds (low altitude, darker). That is my understanding of the definition of them.
  4. I remember a similar night to this, i had been doing an all nighter. The usual summer targets, plus Neowise, couldnt believe the display of noctilucent cloud as well. Wouls love to have captured a scene as beautiful as this. Worthy of hanging on the wall for definite, simply stunning!
  5. Very good to hear Neil, I always try and remember its only a hobby. You can have a break when you feel like it, the sky will always be waiting for you.
  6. Focus is always going to be difficult, especially down at low alitiudes, even more so after a hot day. A very nice sharp image though.
  7. Lovley widefield view, always nice to see the Moons included in the image.
  8. Very nicely captured, the gibous phase clearly visible.
  9. Definitely your best Jupiter so far, a very fine level of detail especially for those altitudes a the moment.
  10. Some interesting looking detail visible, as you say things are only going to improve with time.
  11. Sounds like a good chance you have, there was a decent show i believe on the 5th. My cousin saw them from Berwick that night as well.
  12. Was going to book it off, not sure now to be honest. The weather is such a pain any time of the year.
  13. Good looking images, plenty more to come over the rest of the year.
  14. A nice 1st outing for the new mount, the clouds always seem to be in the way even when there are not many of them in the sky.
  15. Some nice detail there, what focal length were imaging at, did you use a Barlow?
  16. An excellent 1st light, well done to you. The Mak180 will certainly give you even better images in the future, what length were your imaging runs?
  17. Some decent detail for the conditions, not easy down at that altitude. The angle of the rings does look significantly different fom my last images (form memory), my first Saturn image from around 10-12 years back they were pretty much edge on.
  18. I have also had a couple of views of Venus just after Sunset, a very easy spot and naked eye for me by about 9.30. I happy hoping i should be able to spot them both before they set, but the clouds do seem to have a habit of being in that part of the sky at the moment
