  1. There is a method of photography using the camera lens (afocal imaging). This method uses the camera's lens attached to an eyepiece to obtain the image. The method is the way to take photos using a mobile phone or a camera with a non detachable lens.
  2. Hanging a bag of rocks/bricks/heavy weights underneath the tripod can sometimes aid stability.
  3. How it was done pre digital. https://www.csun.edu/~rprovin/ann/lunar.html
  4. Not a Barlow lens. The adapter is for eyepiece projection photography.
  5. Text fixed. To avoid importing the formatting from other sources use the option "paste as plain text".
  6. Certeza hasn't visited SGL since 2009. Don't expect a reply any time soon.
  7. What telescope do you have ? In one of your other threads you mention a Skymax 127. The short tube attached to the rear of the telescope should have a male thread onto which you can attach a t adapter. Or https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-1-25-inch-t-mount-camera-nosepiece-adapter.html . Be aware that some telescopes (newtonians) might not reach focus without a Barlow lens and refractors might need an extension tube.
  8. Phone number removed. It is never a good idea to give out private contact details in a public forum. If you start getting unsolicited calls, don't blame us.
  9. But it is astronomy and eyepiece related, so has been moved to a more appropriate location.
  10. That doesn't sound good. It is not unheard of for the primary mirror to become detached from the focusing mechanism.
  11. Yes it will. The distance the draw tube has to move to regain focus with the diagonal in place will be the same as the effective length of the diagonal.
  12. The OP doesn't have the requirements (30 days membership + more than 25 relevant posts) to access the buy/sell section.
  13. The "barlow" lens is part of the optical system. The Astromaster 114 has a optical system known as a Jones-Bird reflector. The corrector lens adjusts the focal length and also corrects spherical aberrations.
  14. The buy/sell section used to be visible guests but this was stopped due to scammers. Please read the notice again, the buy/sell section is now only open to members with at least 30 days membership and more than 25 posts. Once you have reached the requirements the buy/sell section will become visible to you.
  15. To sell on SGL you need a minimum 30 days membership and more than 25 posts.
  16. @zgr44 This thread is almost 7 years old. The OP hasn't logged on since starting the thread (Aug 2016), I don't think the thread is relevant anymore.
  17. How ? Others may have a similar problem and your solution may help them.
  18. I don't understand you post. Are you asking for advice on setting up the camera or replying to an 8 year old thread ?
  19. I wouldn't expect a reply in the near future. The OP hasn't logged on since August 2021.
