  1. I think the SLV is 50 degrees, just some websites pasted over the LV details. Loved my set of SLV's, but wanted wider and they churned, which was a mistake, very good EP and superb value, even now.
  2. A camper van is a great thing, just make sure you have enough room for your scope etc. I have a camper van, but the kit does not go, unless its a weekend, due to lack of room. The Mrs insists on taking things like food, clean clothes etc, really good space for astro kit 😉
  3. Like that a lot Luke, and the unmooded PST. I just read that AR2864 unleashed a C" Solar flare in earths direction last night. Sol has not only got its hat in, its geteting busy as well.
  4. A new cousin to the 30 and 18mm APM UFF. I notice that APM now have a very TV like black box, made me chuckle. Plays nicely with the XW's and works ok with my glasses.
  5. Astro related, honest. Plano Toolbox, or in this case all in one Astro Box. Add in some foam pad and then some kit... And it all fits from 2 boxes to one, all catches hold without excitement, the old one had a special trick.... and this is all waterproof and wipe clean, fits in the car better as well. The idea of such a case belongs to @iPeace and the home for 'Stanley' of course, thanks Mike.
  6. Looks super Stu, I can now see what the 'Big Spend' was all about now. A lifetime scope with a lifetime mount and tripod, wonderful. The 130 triplets do have a certain eye candy appeal, but thankfully the wallet only groans when I look at them. Nice report, looks like you have a much improved sky compared to your old approach to Heathrow.
  7. @jock1958 interesting information about an oiii filter and a 4" refractor. I was pondering an oiii 1.25" in my ED103 for much the same reason as you, but was unsure if it was not too much for a 4".
  8. https://www.televue.com/engine/TV3b_page.asp?id=103 Here is the TeleVue notes on it, hope that helps. I would add, Baader Wonderfluid is great, but it can disolve blackening, it's happened to me years ago. So I use a Zeiss lens spray for glasses and Zeiss throw away cloths.
  9. If they are the same ones, likely, then someone was part of an active auction and paid the winning bid. If they then sell them on, fair play, anyone else could do the same. I have lost very close family to Heart Disease as well, and I was pleased BHF got a decent addition to the kitty.
  10. Looks like what I just observed, nice image, thanks for sharing.
  11. Indeed it is now you posted the reminder, thanks Stu
  12. and what’s worse, it still is 4 hours later!
  13. and now I have a song going around in my head, thanks guys.
  14. I would love a smaller brother to AZ100, perhaps the AZ75, and I do agree comparisons are good.
  15. But as this is the AZ100 thread, should the other mount not have business conducted under its own thread guys?
  16. Looks most interesting indeed. Website is very clunky and lacking in information though. And is that only one bearing set on each axis? If so is that good engineering? Another Alt-Az is great to see though. I like the look of the unprice Noh Tripod though, looks super.
  17. I don't image, but if I did, then I would be very pleased with one like this. Thanks for sharing your image.
  18. He is copying you @John in honour of a fellow Telaholic.
  19. I think the flourescent ornage will suit Arcturus well. Shows Steve's fine taste 😉 Oh and be very 1970's Celestron as well
