  1. Hi Thommy, I've used Bret's ascom driver with mono & colour SXVh9/c and both work in SGPro & AstroArt... perhaps just check it works in one of these programs first as it'll narrow it down to being a NINA specific issue. Peter
  2. Ok that seems like the best way forward. I have a Focus Master it always worked best with 1/2 steps set. Maybe ask them about the step size setting perhaps it could be as low as 0.5 as I'm guessing that would also be 1/2 steps.
  3. Hello Adam, Are you using the latest MHP driver version: 1.56? Not sure if the focuser settings within the MHP software have an influence but perhaps a screenshot showing yours would help? Maybe someone might spot an issue! Peter
  4. Here's a link showing the cable wiring for the earlier Etx, one end plugs into the Autostar controller & the other into a serial to USB cable; http://www.weasner.com/etx/autostar/as_cable505.html Peter
  5. Now that's sorted who believes in santa-claus? Peter
  6. Think it's already mentioned it's a manual filter wheel... I'd agree having a few pictures of the setup has to be the way forward! Peter
  7. I use the Atik Ascom drivers with SGPro on a Windows 10 NUC, my camera is a One9.0. Once I have everything powered up & Windows has loaded I just do a restart before running SGPro & connecting the camera... maybe worth trying as it works me! Peter
  8. Hello Dave, I don't know anything about QSI drivers, perhaps you could give them a call... I guess Vince would know. Peter
  9. Got a heads up from Vince at Atik cameras this week... Atik Ascom drivers will soon be updated and be able to connect four devices. This doubles what could be connected with the existing drivers when using a single computer for multiple camera control. Peter
  10. I think you'll find your eyes/brain adjusts to colour variations quite quickly comparable to the white balance of a digital camera. It's easy to see in daylight, turn on a warm white light bulb and stare at it with one eye closed or covered for 30sec then look away towards a plain coloured wall while blinking from one eye to the other... over a short time both eyes will return to seeing the same tones. Peter
  11. Unknown to me... great image, thanks for sharing. Peter
  12. Nicely done, well worth all the effort. Peter
  13. Thanks Gina, I'm happy with the colour but not so keen on the stars, guess I need to learn some star masking techniques. Peter
  14. OK l have the sx filter wheel with this type of adapter the thread is 6mm in length on mine, guess just the one would work! Peter
  15. How about bolting 2 of female M54 versions together; https://www.firstlightoptics.com/starlight-xpress-accessories/adapters-for-starlight-xpress-usb-filter-wheel.html Peter
  16. I see your also in the UK hopefully won't take you 3 years! Peter
  17. I think the colour rendering was helped by combining the stacked SHO for the L channel, strong signal in the SII & OIII being the key in stopping the Ha from being the prominent factor. Peter
  18. The image data used was collected over 10 nights that spanned a 3 year period. Using Astrodon filter; SII 5 nm 36 x 900sec. 18 & 19th Dec. 2017 & 25th Feb. 2018 Ha 5 nm 21 x 900sec. 1st,6 & 7th Sep. 2017 OIII 3 nm 27 x 900sec. 16th Dec. 2017, 7th Jan. 2018 & 27th Oct. 2019 Equipment; Atik One 9.0 & FSQ-85 with QE 0.73 reducer mounted on a Mesu 200. Software used: SG pro, AstroArt5 & Photoshop CS2. Over recent years I've enjoyed viewing many of the deepsky images posted here, although I don't post that often here's my most recently finished attempt. Peter
  19. Just tried it on my One9.0 subs zoomed in on the hottest pixel on the dark and blinked a Ha sub and it's shows the hot pixel in the same place... funny I never thought to do this when I had the same issue so thanks for the question. Peter
  20. Only thing I can suggest is do a 20 min dark frame adjust the histogram so just the hottest pixels are viable then blink with the light frames and see if you get a match... not tried this myself. Peter
  21. Thanks. I'd hoped for an integrated (one on mount computer) salutation but Atik are reluctant to create a 3rd Ascom driver. After dropping QHY for Atik seems they now support 4 cameras. I've started using the 1st cooled camera I bought for guiding the very reliable SXVh9 but this is bigger than the GP meaning would hit the roll off roof if not removed when opening and closing! Peter
  22. A little history... I built my first triple HOS imaging setup a few years ago using a SXVh9 & 2 QHYImg2pro cameras only to find 2 identical cameras came with driver issues! OK time for an upgrade... With my experience of driver issues in mind I contacted Atik who at the time assured there were no issues with using multiple One 9.0 cameras. Over the next few years... Built observatory, lots of equipment upgrade added including Atik cameras 2x One 9.0 and GP guider, oh no would you believe it... camera driver issues only 2 cameras supported!! Ironically I was guided by Atik. Peter
  23. Looks similar to the one for my Losmandy G11 that has grub screws in the other 3 holes that you leave a little slack while just using the 4th knurled one to tighten after rotating to the desired position. Peter
