  9. I was looking for the same a couple of months ago, but eventually just had to get the sky watcher 12 mm. Sometimes I have to find the alignment Star in 20 mm wa eyepiece first and then swap over to the reticile. Bit of a flaff but it does improve the alignment and subsequent go to quite a bit.

  15. Hi Gordon and a warm welcome to the SGL. The Virtuoso is a nice first scope. I am sure you will enjoy it. As for eyepieces, use the ones supplied for a bit until you are familiar with your new scope. Then you will have a better idea of what you might require. I have only seen the scope used with the table top mount so I can not help there. The main thing is to get out and enjoy your scope.
  16. Hello and a warm welcome to the SGL. For bird watching I would avoid focusing on each eyepiece. Birds often don’t stay still for long and quick focusing is helpful. When observing the stars you are focusing more or less at infinity and once focused you seldom have to change it. However with bird watching the birds are often at different distances and focusing has to be adjusted frequently.
