Got myself told off in mothercare for stating that a cot mattress was the same price as a new tal.... got it down to £150, "same price as a second hand tal".. and I thought astro stuff was expensive... don't ask me about the pram!
-
someone just landed an evostar90 for £50 ish on ebay... I think that constitutes a right bargain!

Curse my inquisitive mind... Soooo hershel wedges seem interesting.. (Feeling my feet go from under me, didn't even realise I was stood on the slippery slope!)

Feel like I've been Michael Fish'd.. Fully clouded over but according to two weather apps it's actually clear! Genuinely a bit gutted... Might look out in a few hours..

As stated the Evostar 90 was delivered, all be it for a birthday as opposed to christmas, to my brother and his little lad yesterday.. Much merryment was had and a few quick looks at the moon which sealed the deal, they are hooked. Everyone (or so i thought) was delighted, on the way home in the car, personally full of stidsfaction from a selfless act i got the "don't think i don't know what your doing... whens the new scope turning up?" I mean now.... really... would i.... Me..

Crumbs it's getting cold... Enough playtime withe frac, time to put the newt on for an hour or two!
-
The evostar 90 has just made my day.. I've got a good half dozen street lights 100ft away, and sat in the shade of a lovely thick Hawthorne bush I'm just chuffed to bits how we'll it's done.. The semi apo filter can have a thumbs up too!
-
yeeesss clear skys... it might be LP'd to heck but I went for the evo90 over the 200p and im genuinely pleased with the choice.. all smiles!
-
M13 in the 8mm TVP... Best I've seen it.. Big wow moment must have spent a good hour with it.. Tired now, bed time!
-
Stripped it down and flocked it up, rebuilt and out viewing in under 2 hours... very pleased!

Nothing quite like getting home to a nicely bubble wrapped package containing a new bit of glass.. Lovely stuff.

New ostara finderscope arrived today... Looks like aright piece of kit... Wonder if it will fit in my generic skywatcher shoe though. Only one way to find out.....

Clear dark skys, uncountable amount of stars, mikyway as clear as i've seen it in a long time, and it was warm too... Just such a shame i was stuck in the cinima watching gravity... finally paid my dues for ordering 2 Es82 instead of one.. im sure the weather report was checked before it was booked too.... why i oughta!!!

Haaaayyyy who's being buying all the flocking paper from FLO, I was going to carry out that mod after the lacerta 10:1 upgrade... you know, so i have an excuse to touch my scope despite all this cloud, without attracting unwanted attention from naysayers wanting me to empty dishwashers and the like..
