  1. I thought as much. Thanks for the confirmation
  2. I've ordered a qhy183m to accompany my qhy183c and I'm wondering if I'd be able to use the same dark frames from the qhy183c for the qhy183m? Not that it'll make too much difference if I need to make a new darks library as we get plenty of cloudy nights here.
  3. It's funny how things turn out. I finished work to a clear sky with the forecast claiming to be 100% cloud cover.
  4. I believe it takes around 8 minutes for the gears to do 1 full cycle so that sounds about right.
  5. Thanks. I don't think the qhy183m comes with any adapters though.
  6. Have you set this up yet? I'm curious to know how you've added the 1.25 filter I to your imaging train? I'm planning on getting the qhy183m and 1.25 filters but don't quite have enough for a filter wheen yet.
  7. That's bad. Alot worse than mine in fact. Mine I could just live with mine but using a OSC camera makes them appear worse due to colour smudging
  8. Looks very interesting. Can Grant share his findings and results on here? I'm very interested in this. Also, what does the bundle consist of and which would be better for imaging?
  9. My plan this summer is to take my moonlite focuser apart and try to eliminate any tilt by having everything central. What focuser do you use David?
  10. I'm in the same boat as you. Stars on the left are basically perfect but the stars on the right are slightly elongated.
  11. That's the FOV when using this lens with a full frame camera
  12. A new IDAS D1 LPS that'll hopefully cure the grubby background in my images.
  13. It sounds like it's worth the money and time being without a mount. Would this assumption be correct?
  14. You'll have to let me know how it performs once its settled in. I've been tempted to get this done for a while now.
  15. This was at the very end of my imaging session last night. Made the rookie error of not using dew heaters though so I will have lost a couple hours of data due to a frost lens. Ah well, live and learn. Who needs meridian flips
  16. If you don't try, you'll never know. Good luck
  17. I'll be interested to know how your neq6 performs after as I'm contemplating sending my mount for a spa day too
  18. Did you watch it on BBC iplayer? And was it about the star of bethlehem? They say they're not about next month for stargazing live at the end of that episode, which was aired in 2015.
  19. Would you not need one of these? https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-accessories/zwo_t2-t2.html
