  2. Maybe I should think about using camera lenses and DSLR for astro imaging in the UK, seems a waist having so much invested in CCD's and scopes only to use less than 10x per year? anyone?

      i enjoyed the views better than my 115mm frac . The colour collection was very good and to be honest the scope was the right size ... i swapped it out for a horizon ED 60 which was nice but i never got round to using it for photography

      Gave up imaging 4 years ago, sold my kit and bought a new motorbike :)  to many cloudy nights on the west coast ( Lancashire ) The Irish sea sends clouds over whenever the air pressure drops, like every night, thanks for the heads up, you’ve been very helpful.

      Am OK mate hope you are too, been renovating the house and garden and the weather's been terrible for the last 12 months, although not been a bad spring, the PC in the OBS refuses to boot so that's put an end to this month's potential photon harvest ;)

  16. Damn it, between the clouds up norf it looks awesome, milky way from my back garden 1.5 miles from Preston City centre ... yet fluffy lumps keep blowing in from Ireland across the Irish Sea... sucking up all that black moisture no doubt..
