  1. This one looks a little warmer than the others, a fine image!
  2. That all depends on the conditions but I normally do 60s or somtimes 90s on Galaxies.
  3. Nice start, I did this target a few weeks ago but only got 30 mins of data using 60 s exposure. Looking at the details of your image I should have gone for 30s.
  4. V nice Lee, Glad you managed to get it done!
  5. Hi all, set up last night as the weather apps said it would be clear! well it was clear for just over 30 mins before the cloud came and stopped play. So here it is, just over 30 mins worth of M13. Not my best and could do with a lot more data but you have to take what you can get and as the nights are going I think this might be the last DSO for this season. and the crop CC and hints welcome.
  6. Could not belive it! a clear night and I had to get up early! With that in mind I managed just an hour last night and thought I would have a go at M 108 and the bonus of the Owl Nebula. So here it is 70 x 60s taken with my ASI 2600mc through my Askar 400 stired up in PI. Crop 1 crop2 crop3 think i got the Quasar that was mention on an a somebody elses post ( Just! ) C C, hints and tips most welcome.
  7. Love this target and this is a great image of it, wish I couldf get a shot at it my self but my view is blocked at the moment by the house and an LED street light adding to tyhe poblem.
  8. Stunnig images, I had ago at this a few weeks ago and was never happy with the result.
  9. Hi Simon, thank you. The star colour is me and my processing PC. For some reason I need to push the curves on that PC to see any colour. When I look at the image on any other PC I can see straight away what you mean. Will have to look into that.
  10. Hi all, Hasn`t the weather been poo! Gallaxy season is not my fav time of year, I can never seem to get the look I want and struggle with the lighter nights. Anyway as I had not been out to play for an age I thought I would have ago as the last few nights there was gaps in the cloud. Im still trying to find ways of blocking out a new LED street lamp that lights up my garden and with the bright moon I went for short subs and as many I could grab in a short time. In the end I had 213 30s subs of dodgy data which I through into PI and hit it with all the exterminator software I have! The result is a Gallaxy! not as outstanding as some I have seen on here but for me with the little time I spent on it Im happy. Taken with my trusty Askar 400 and ASI 2600mc. Any tips and CC welcome. Crop 1 crop 2 Thanks for looking.
  11. Nice! With the cloud here I have been playing with old data, soon will have to stop that and have ago at that sun thing to fill the time to the new season.
  12. Both look good but the second image for me is better.
  13. Im not a late night imager, if it isnt going to be clear from sun set then I wont set up. I cant stand being up to late love my bed to much! but recently as age has crept up on me I have been visiting the bathroom more often in the night and popping my head outside only to see clear skies when before I went to bed it was just clag! I think I should find another hobby!
  14. Wow, that is a great work. You seem to be banging them out at the moment. I gave up on the M81 M82 image, just couldnt get it right and to top it off I now have an LED street light ove my garden! but as they say no pain no gain.
  15. Always luv images of the witches head and yours is brilliant example.
  16. Hi all, This was and is still an experiment. The other night I noticed that my old street lamp had changed to a LED type! It was so bright in my garden that I could read a book! not very happy but dertermined to see what damage it had done to my photography I set up on the last clear night and did a couple of hours on the seagull. As the title points out my framing was terrible but at least I got something despite the sreet lamps best efferts! In future I am going to have to try and get some sort of shade but as for this image I was pleased considering the short time on target. 30 x 240s subs taken with my Askar 400 without the FR fitted and using an Optalong Ex filter And a crop Any hints tips an CC welcome, Also any tips with dealing with LED street lamps!
  17. Thanks for the flow, this is more or less what I have been doing.
