  1. Still some detail to be seen Pete. It’s not been an easy time from the UK
  2. Nice image Pete. I've had similar problems finding an optical window between trees and over buildings. I will be interested as well to see the results of the various filter combination. Trevor
  3. Looks good to me Neil. Are you running long AVI's and using Winjupos? I'm still struggling with that one. You are obviously having fun with the new 8 inch Stella Lyra. Good practice for next year !!
  4. Thanks Martyn. Its certainly been a challenge for everyone in the UK this year
  5. Thanks Shane. If you look back at earlier posts this year it’s been incredible what some members have achieved considering the low altitude from the UK.
  6. Thanks. It is a nice area. The sunset was roughly over Sutton Bridge way. The trees must be inland of the sea bank at least 16 to 17 miles away.
  7. Taken this evening from Hunstanton cliffs across the wash. They would be sharper if I used a tripod but I'm always clever in hindsight !
  8. Thanks Pete. With the planets being so low I wouldn’t have bothered but was encouraged by some of the great images posted here. I didn’t think you could get detail like that at such a low elevation.
  9. Thanks Neil. Something to look forward to in these very strange times !
  10. Clearing up missed files on the laptop and I think that's it for 2021. Both taken through a C9.25 with ASI 120 cameras. Looking forward to a greater elevation year.
  11. Looks sharp to me Neil. Interested to see what you can do with some terminator shadow detail when you get chance
  12. Thanks. I’ve always been impressed with the ED100. It’s a nice scope to use
  13. Thanks Mark. Cameras were colour and mono ZWO 120’s
  14. Thanks David. I was surprised how much detail came through. The AVI file was like jelly to watch.
  15. The seeing was dreadful, the planets skimming neighbors rooftops and cool down was too great for a bigger scope so tried some imaging with an ED100 last night. The smaller scope certainly seems to cut through the seeing and is quick and easy to use. In addition its easy to set up !
  16. Really like the smoothness of that image Mike. Clever processing. Trevor
  17. Thanks. I preferred the middle shot as well. It’s more real somehow
  18. Definitely thought that was it for this year but couldn't resist a few more AVI files this evening . Taken through a Skymax 180 with mono and colour ASI 120's. Keeps me amused !!
  19. Always amazes me what a small refractor can do. Lots of detail. Trevor
  20. I can't resist having another shot at this every year. It was howling a gale two nights ago so I set the HEQ5 up in a relatively sheltered spot, fitted a SW ED72 with a Canon 1000D and let it loose unguided. This is she result of 40 x 180 sec exposures stacked in DS. I was surprised how stable the set up was and how well it tracked considering the wind.
