  1. Still looks very good to me Neil 👍
  2. Thanks Geof. I find it a bit of a black art really. Never sure what I have until I complete the processing. Trevor
  3. Eventually got around to processing some files from the 6th. I have enough for a short video so that's the next project. All taken through a 180 MAK at prime focus using mono and colour ZWO178's. Also used a 685 filter with the mono camera. I'm still trying to work out the best spot to avoid heat rise from rooftops but that seems to be a common problem. It also depends on the direction of the wind. Plenty to keep me amused !
  4. Lovely clear night in these parts. Taken through a Skywatcher ED72 with a canon 1000D. 27 x 3 min subs. All taken unguided on an HEQ5. It was good to set it up and leave it do its thing without worrying about guiding for a change.
  5. Very nice images. Always like the Tycho Clavius area
  6. That's a good one !!! Loads of fine detail
  7. Good colour shot Neil. To be honest I enjoy using the smaller scopes probably more than the larger ones I have. This aperture lark is very much a law of diminishing returns I think 😬😬
  8. One of my favourite areas. Nice shot 👍
  9. That’s a cracking shot Martyn. I would be happy with that. 👍
  10. Thanks Martyn. I like to image the Clavius region. Always plenty of detail 👍
  11. Thanks. Those small craters in Plato are always an acid test 😁
  12. I'm never very good at filing things away and for not the first time I've found some old files stored on the laptop that I have never processed. These were taken a couple of months back in fair seeing through my C9.25. I've found the scope needs a while to cool down before imaging. You can't see Hadley Rille. Its tucked away in the shadow but Mount Hadley appears prominent. I always like the mountainous areas.
  13. Thanks Martyn. Appreciate the comment. Trevor
  14. Thanks. Nothing too fancy. I used in order ASI, REGISTAX 6 wavelets and GIMP. Stitched using Imerge. Hope that helps.
  15. What else to do on a wet Sunday afternoon. Seven pane mosaic from the ED100. Shots taken with a 178MM at prime focus.
  16. Seeing was poor but the smaller refractors seem to cope best with most conditions. Taken with an ED100 and 178MM.
  17. Very nice. I like that sort of shot👍
  18. Very nice detail there Neil.I have the same issues trying to focus the Mak. One touch of the focuser and the image rattles around for ages before settling
  19. Thanks Neil. Yes. Taken at the prime focus at 2700mm
  20. Time today to process some of the images taken on Wednesday. All taken through a 180 Mak with an ASI 178 mono. Seeing was a bit variable and got worse through the session.
  21. Very good images. Lots of detail
  22. Thanks. It’s such a fine line between a natural look and over doing it
