  1. With doing double stars I am often doing 20 objects plus whatever clusters, PN`s and Planets but I have just got one from Grover's Optics with delivery £96.99 FLO had none in stock and they are £114 to start without postage all I can do is try it now thank you very much everyone I really appreciate it.
  2. I will only be running the mount from it I have a power bank for my dew strips I dont attach Cameras, laptops or any AP stuff thanks looks like the LT will suffice.
  3. I am only visual I do take pictures but that's using my phone. I have a power bank I use for my dew strips so you say the celestron LT would work perfectly for a good 3/4 hr session.
  4. I do like that one but I read a 7ah supply will last 2hrs maybe less in winter so I'm trying get more info on it.
  5. I am sick of dragging a extension cable and then my regulated power supply out when I am having a quick session 2hrs max. I want to be able take the kit to a dark site come winter so I need help choosing the best power supply that is not going to break the bank. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/batteries-powerpacks/celestron-6-1-ah-powertank-lithium-lt.html https://www.firstlightoptics.com/batteries-powerpacks/celestron-lithium-lifepo4-powertank.html These are my 3 choices up to now
  6. What connection is on the pack please thinking of sending for one and a cable.
  7. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/power-accessories/nevada-ps-08-6a-8a-regulated-linear-power-supply.html I have one of these so I would need it splitting into two ring connectors I dont like the cigarette connection I will give them a ring and see what they say thanks. That power supply you have does that power your EQ5 all session I have often thought of getting one of those, I used to have one of these but it was a cheap Chinese thing and the power fluctuated meaning the mount was not accurate. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115723611816?hash=item1af1aa2ea8:g:LLEAAOSwz-9gYfo9&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4PNn7MRFyd3BMceX2xE5xvzYE09u2NmpHuDHSfN%2BM9qfH7oqb%2FTKEjdt5nluSPSmxQUlP%2FvsGI%2FEqZuDtVMw%2F5IzdhlfGmYlkNNyxAP72FAgg%2BfDDrBoRJM6pC2phiT3ObsdqSi9RuqsildOA4rCEv8nGovguu76zb3L8%2Bo188KFwXlLc4e7T83sYxzRK5BM%2Fbsmc%2B1rdDtErNZMxkYw74Y1AI9pLSL6VCUfJEb1Il%2B4l2gk7gAfvroexpegrEPES5Vz11JdWGyac74EdM%2BHrT6MTt4EChDQRU6tqS6nKIdF|tkp%3ABk9SR7iU54eQYg The 10amp model
  8. Been on there site no power cables like yours or any to fit the EQ5
  9. I had them all apart from the 3.2mm I didn't get on with the 5mm and sold that my 18mm was loose I shook it to find what part was loose and cracked the glass. My goto eyepiece is the 15mm it's a fantastic eyepiece and sky at night magazine did a comparison and it came out on top.
  10. Hopefully going to try in the TAL tonight no doubt I won't get it as I cannot even get M51
  11. Your very welcome I did that when I had my Eq3-2 so I could find objects.
  12. https://sherwood-observatory.org.uk/astronomy/finder-charts/messier-finders These are Telrad finder charts but I think they could do.
  13. I wish lynx astro did one of these perhaps I could get I right hand fitment that would help.
  14. I have bought a lynx astro cable so no cheap cables. I have watched a video about replacing the connector like for like but it is to much for my skills. I have a proper soldering station so I can turn the temperature down but I don't think I could do it. Maybe I could send it to someone with far more skills than me. I know people have done it on a HEQ5 replaced with a screw on connector. Something like this.
  15. Does anyone know of a thread or fix for the power supply for this mount, the connection has started to droop so I have had to put a elastic band under it to keep it in place. Ideally I would like to replace with a screw type connection.
  16. I have a eq6 tripod with adapter for my EQ5 goto overkill maybe but it's steady as a rock.
  17. I will let you know how it is but by all the reviews supposed to be great.
