  1. I use a 12v think it's 8 amp cctv power outlet with extra cables on the end which just plug in for use with my dew strips. Something like this if you are going to put dew strips on just get a higher amp.
  2. Someone on here sent that to me with a description of what I needed this was a quick drawing he sent me he did describe the neutral bar and the fuse box which I have done. If you look at the schematic it shows the live cable going to a box with 5amp and 10amp fuses for the cigarette outlets and USB. It also shows the neutral going to a bus bar.
  3. I have fuses for each supply if you look on the pictures the plastic box supplied by the main cable from the battery has individual fuses in there for each outlet and the 20amp is right before the battery.
  4. I have a EQ5 at home I use one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-1-2-3-4-5-6-8-10A-Power-Supply-AC-to-DC-Adapter-5050-3528-LED-Strip-Light-UK/293137585107?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item44405c93d3:g:APIAAOSwbA9dGQIZ&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACcBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickkvjzWOStkxwnlDuxSI1PVVkc96LJYl4AzbyGzAWLuV2MdbJsgA9H6vKUKZLZ%2BtrXywIM95FmjI2yI5gZcGpbRy1cMUMQ2pot1d6EMvSnd5xL34IH3xLUs1kPICUmuWqDi1vQYwghHwf%2FgRLrsfM1FYx2Qe06cd%2FBYrdPKm09tAOglk%2FUBMs95XvG8p%2F2tvhjyXaJQkUGsXKkpcUlLGszyxh5wbm6bjgwfut3hGmYRdw1HbdSOLqMYpfbjqNh7jejHzlTvrNDkf%2BVZ6FlgJY9gMlCGR%2BPeveLPzhohbQZy3rGtodroKJfFVXajur4oq37QxpBQEXu0VTENIenJ8aCxUky0iPk%2BLV95uT456MFD%2FwGpuewVdiTOR1WmE7PsYnvPUhDveQWucBQH2TP%2FQ7Q3aIC%2Bi4i6pgYw4Jhalpm2Br4F4da2QixxrmdUMJjJeiK8oqHYCTsfEaO%2BnjeKNVNH4E6DVQbRR2YdAAwAGRnQKaaLBIEUHGy3PeSXrTqm3nbI5lVAI0RCbEkpkW51%2FEjHl2bXdTrPfihW32FuxgWqLntf5z2bB4l5yJFYmQEFdy%2FL%2Fh3Eh3JUey1YXJmeTnXsjlCAfqvIzZr74GmvW5xESO5VzURnQR%2Bs6H1RbKlZ2o0wJHFU5FcvAo5ZTgfam1rm7AJ2P3iEUyykrY98I%2Fcy0uBXK%2B1cWoUksny%2F4ynE3jS%2BaiuBtSUHcpQx%2Bn%2Fsn8N6PkAdlvV5QamnR%2FtvDAryd1RH80dm6wbCA5%2B2RG%2FxmSIjmJr%2F515v4gjtWwES4wSc%2BQ%3D%3D|cksum%3A293137585107b1a9885f3353443b8b288a046e841b7e|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2334524 9amp so I can attach a couple of dew heaters. Out in the field I made this to use with the cigarette fitments.

  8. I have a meade 127 and the finderscope is absolutely rubbish I have a Telrad now and removed the finderscope completely. It was all over the place loads of flection in the bracket.
  9. When it was the sodium light it was out for nearly 12 months it was brilliant then, they came and fixed it I got on to them got this horrible rude man who said you you would be complaining if you where robbed, I said well its been off for 12 months nothing happened yet I would take my chances plus most of my neighbours have security lights well he wasnt happy. This new bloke totally different could not help me enough and now although there is a light its a massive difference just need a clear night now.
  10. Well what can I say the bloke was as good as his word massive difference.
  11. Peter I will look into that as well cheers.
  12. I will cheers only taking the one scope take my battery box as well.
  13. That is brilliant thanks Mike I am going Bala end of October but I will save this for next year.
  14. Do they have EHU we love the llyn peninsular been there a few times for days out when been on holiday in Wales.
  15. I find the 25mm BST quite good I bought a 32mm GSO Plossl but that only has a 52° FOV
  16. I have one of these for my polar scope but I did not pay this much. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-right-angled-eyepiece-for-polar-scopes.html
  17. If its the one I have seen its exactly the same as the white one I think it has 1.75" legs more stability I had a 200p om mine I now have two refractors one is 8kg so will take the 200p for observing.
  18. https://www.rothervalleyoptics.co.uk/ovl-twist-lock-adaptor-2-125.html Like this.
  19. I have a 2" to 1.25" adapter that fits in your 2" focuser tube it has a compression ring you can have.
  20. I may have some good news I reported the light again had a phone call from a gentleman gave me his email sent him some pictures. Sent me a email back said they are going to fit a another bulb with a narrower spread of light. So I will see how this goes in a few days crossed fingers it's loads better.
  21. Just searched again listing is still there secondhand astronomy equipment UK for sale/swap/wanted It was posted on the 13th of August keep scrolling down it is there.
  22. I have a Tal 100rs and a Meade LXD55 127 emc I have had a Skywatcher dual speed focuser fitted to the Meade on a EQ5. One thing you will need with these achros is a extension tube fitted to the tripod or your going to be on the floor trying look through it.
  23. I would like to add a couple of things I have learned 1 Make sure you have a good power supply drops in voltage mess with the goto. 2 Download this app best thing since sliced bread😃 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.RapidoDroid.synscaninit2&gl=GB 3 Do not think the bubble level on the mount is accurate my EQ5 was way off. Make a list up of what you want to view, from my house with light pollution I look for objects no more than 8 mag depending on seeing I have tried more but that was for double stars no use on DSO`s. Also look for objects in your viewing position I can see mostly East a bit of North and a bit of South so I pick objects in those parameter`s. when you do your star align use the right and top key last this takes backlash out I have been told and for me it works. 4 Once you have aligned when you go to your first object if it is not in the centre of FOV press esc then press and hold esc not the handset will show centre which ever object you where looking at same again finish with right and top. 5 Pick alignment stars that are where you are going to view pick two halfway up the sky opposite ends of the sky you will get much more accurate alignments for your objects. 6 If you set up in nearly the same place every time and you bring your kit in for whatever reasons and you can once you have set up and had a great night mark where your tripod legs are and if possible drill a hole for the legs to fit into next time. 7 Adjust your objects to view depending on your sky`s I was trying to find galaxies all the time a very good friend told me go for double and multiple stars and clusters totally transformed my viewing pleasure. Hope this helps people.
  24. John I agree the 25mm is not the best of the bunch but it worked very well in all my scopes, for me the 15mm is the best I had the lot except the 3.2mm too powerful for my scopes. I have the 25,15 and 8mm left I sold the rest.
