Lovely image - particularly the starfield. Many would suggest capturing more luminance than RGB but your results speak for themselves. I do wonder if the data would show a bit more detail in the core if you adopted an HDR approach and masked through a less stretched version?

Encouraged by the Masteclass articles in Astronomy Now and Nik's StarGaZine talk I'm also trying Affinity Photo, by the way. There are a couple of stumbling blocks (for example it seems that sample points only report the values for a single pixel and not an average of a number of pixels) but it does seem very capable.

When I first looked at this I thought the crescent is just a bit too garish but as I looked at it a bit longer I changed my mind. Lovely picture and a wonderful field of view.

I agree, that's beautiful. You've suffered for your art but this is worth the mozzy bites!

Both renditions are absolutely excellent... The first version doesn't look over-sharpened to me in all honesty but I think I do have a slight preference for the second...

A really nice set of beautifully processed images Martin. I agree with Steve that your M13 looks particularly stunning... Congratulations also on getting Picture of the Month in the July edition of Astronomy Now with your rendition of Simeis 147. That's a very special image and it's great to see it getting the recognition it deserves.

Having been away from the hobby for a bit I've had to re-learn an awful lot and, as a new user of PixInsight, learn that for the first time.
