Thought I’d escaped the new scope curse with the Evolox92 having clear nogjts for a week but no then the curse kicked in. 🤬 Will be buying a new planetary camera in a few weeks time.💦☔️💦☔️💦☔️ We are doomed. 🙀🙀🙀

The Omegon prisim works great when used with my Lumicon Superfinder. So much better than one of those standard prisms. 👍🏻 Can highy recommend the Omegon or StellaMira prisms.

Bought my Omegon prism long before the StellaMira one was available. 🙂

No problem reselling the Starsense as it seems that up to five different email addresses can be used. I sold a Starsense and the new owner had no problem unlocking the app on their phone using their email address. Once the app is unlocked no need to ever contact Celestron again so once installed no way can Celestron stop it from working. The unlock code can only be used up to five times. The Starsemse app is just a regular app so once installed and unlocked with no need for a WiFi connection to work..

Have one of the Omegon amici prisms. An excellent bit of kit. https://www.omegon.eu/amici-prisms-90d/omegon-1-25-amici-prism-90d/p,14172

From the APM website. Over this time APM has expanded its Telescope products to include large observatory class Reflectors and mounts in addition to our famous range of Refractors. We have also been involved in the development of Solar Observing equipment such as Coronado and Lunt Solar Systems, whom Markus Ludes is a founding partner.

Primary Heavy duty springs

Just use the locking screws for what they were intended for…….locking the collimation. Then the springs are irrelevant. After tightening the locking screws you may have to fine tune the collimation using only the locking screws. A method I’ve always used and the scope holds perfect collimation for a very long time. -
Had a solar scout and sold it on as I got fed up of the heating times. Had a Lunt 60 and not needing to heat the internal element meant it was ready to use instantly and no mucking about. Of course the Lunt 60 is much more expensive but found it a pleasure to use. BTW the Quark part used in the SolarScout is a bit variable in quality as it is the cheap end of the range so might be necessary to exchange the scope to get a good one. Saying that many are happy with their SolarScouts but I would prefer the Lunt but that would just be my personal, choice.
