Astronomy Now magazine

I often find i've still not finished the last months reading before the new ones arrive - this usually spurs me along to catch up. I also get confused [which is easily done] as i'll be reading what wonderful event is foing to happen on a certain date, but then realise it's not for another month, or if i've got copies mixed up, realise I missed it ;)

I spoke to someone at a public out reach event recently and he was interested in astronomy, but hadn't done anything about it. I'd suggested he have a look at both AN and S@N magazines, and he said "I have done, but they don't seem to contain much about astronomy" which made me laugh and I had to agree - there is a lot of stuff which the jobbing observational astronomer might not be interested in, but then i'm not sure if they'd find sufficient material to fill a monthly magazine otherwise.

And another October issue through the letterbox yesterday.

James- I'm exactly like you, still working my way through the September issue.

Though there's still events to be explored before the month is out,and I was particularly interested to read the article about the early morning line up of Venus,Mars and Jupiter.
