...so being new here, I thought i'd share my first (first) moon shot.

Taken with my brother's Skywatcher 200p telescope and my Canon EOS 550D (18th Jan '11 - 9.39pm).

ISO100

Shutter: 1/400

0 ev

Auto WB

Levels/Exposure/Enhance/sharpening Adjusted in Aperture.

wow!! :) amazing first shot!!

Did you use a T-adapter for your Canon or did you just hold it up against the telescope lense?

My girlfriend is looking to get a 550D ( i think, i can never remember the numbers ) and if you can get those kind of photos im going to nick it off her!! :)

It's a great camera imo, so if it is the one, I hope she (you) enjoys it.

Yeah, I bought a T-mount EOS adapter on ebay, I think it cost me about £10, maybe a little more/less... but it's worth it.

I also used an intervelometer as a remote, which helps! I think I got that for about £15ish from ebay too. Not the canon one, just a cheap knockoff version, but it works really well - It might come in handy incase you ever want to do timelapses or star trails or whatever too.
