Jupiter from Kelling

Taken at kelling on sunday morning, it really cleared up at about 1am. I used my friends 10" Darkstar Dob, but when I tried it with a barlow it wouldn't reach focus so i'm a little disappointed as the optics were so good and it deserved more mag.

Nice image Lee. There wasn't a shadow transit on Sunday morning so the dark spots are surface detail.

Yes I knew there wasn't a shadow transit as all 4 of the moons were well to either side of the planet. I have an image from last year showing 2 transits plus their 2 related shadows and the red spot.

i had a go at it on Sunday night, Monday morning but by then it had started to get alittle misty so could not get any detail at all.
