Hi All,

This image is grossly oversampled at 0.2" per pixel, taken with my C9.25 and M*C camera. Just an experiment to see how it would turn out. As expected, the UK seeing is not good enough for this kind of resolution. Guiding at this resolution was a big challenge.

Scope: C9.25

Camera: SXV-M8C

Mount: EQ6

Guiding: ST-80 with DFK

Exposure: 7.5 hours in 10 minute subs.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

Vincent.

Hi Vincent,

If nothing else it shows you have skill ! Oh, and a sense of humour. Well done.

The only suggestion I would make is to use a 6.3 reducer and bin 2x2. It gets all the galaxy in and goes to around 0.9 ppi.

Either that or move to the high mountains.

Dave.
