Hi Bob,

I'm not a deep sky imager so I can only dream of producing something like that.

I've been using Photoshop for a few years and I had a fiddle with your image, hope you don't mind and I hope I am not breaking any SGL taboos by posting what I have done.

Somebody please tell me if I am!!

I had a fiddle with curves, levels and despeckle and this is what came out.

From the lightness of your image, I wonder if you have your monitor set correctly. You should be able to see every square in step.gif which I'll attach.

Hope I haven't offended you with fiddling with your image,

Bill

Hi

If you had a go with pixinsight , A little more work with the DBE tool to get rid of the gradients and perhapes a go with the HDR wavlets to reavel the core :)

very nice effort indeed, makes me think again about buy a 1000d,

just wish i understood how to process the images,

also do you need to take 21 dark frames at the same time length ? can`t you just do one at each time period and then use it lots of times ?
