Hello from Fife

Hi , the names Ryan and I'm a complete beginner (had a toy-like telescope as a kid - lol) and I'm rejuvenating my astronomical interests.

I'm from Fife, Scotland - have no idea if there are any star gazers close by as I'm brand new to almost all aspects.

I've been browsing posts for advice on first scopes etc and so I decided on buying a Skywatcher Explorer- 130P F/650 w/motor as my first .

Everyone seems helpful as hell around here ,I'm looking forward to using these forums and my new scope.

nvr received a welcome like this before. thanks this is a real friendly place , its kl as hell heh. astronomy seems to be getting more and more popular all the time , only a matter of time until there is more events,star parties etc in Scotland (i hope!)

It's a long time since I was in Fife!

Might be worth checking if St Andrews University has any public openings of their observatory - it's a pretty good one I seem to recall.

yeh! I goto Dundee uni , so i think gettin access to st.andrews uni shouldnt be a problem , i know they share resources nd stuff. Would be cool to see what they do.
