Hi guys

Finally got around to processing my images from Kielder SPring 2010.

I have attached the following:

NGC 5907:

8 times 10 minute exposures (1hr 20m) - monochrome only

Leo_Triplet:

Luminance 9 times 15 mins exposure (2 hrs 15m)

RGB added from home - binned at 2x - 10 each of 5 min exposures each for RGB

M51:

Luminance 12 times 15 mins exposure (3 hours)

RGB added from home - binned at 2x - 10 each of 5 min exposures each for RGB

NGC4565:

8 times 10 minute exposures (1hr 20m) - monochrome only

All luminance done with my Meade 127 at 950mm focal length, with my Atik 4021 camera on my EQ6 Pro at Kielder March 13th and 14th 2010, captured with Artemis capture, guided with PHD guiding (5 sec exposures) through my Megrez 110. Flats and darks applied.

Processed with Deep Sky stacker and Photoshop elements.

Hope you like em - I am pleased with them ......

Those look great rob. I seemed to spend all my time drift aligning, but I'll get there....slowly, slowly, and with all you guys to learn from the journey will be as rewarding as the destination.

Well done on some great captures and thanks for sharing.

Mike

Thanks everyone, very kind comments.

I think I was lucky to get anything considering my mount (EQ6 Pro) decided to fry its main board on the Wednesday........ I use a regulated mains power supply at home and also when I am away with an electric hookup so it wasn't a polarity swap error.

John Rose saved the day by having a spare power supply board with him and performed the surgery on Thursday, showing me where the inductor had failed. Apparently this can be caused by under voltage - he recommended using 13.5v rather than 12 to help avoid this in the future. Many Thanks again John!!!!!

I had a brilliant time and still think Kielder has some of the best skies in the country - looking forward to Autumn already.

All the best.
