Saturn with 127mm Mak 25.3.10 - 00.45am

got 2x90 sec avi's @10fps of Saturn last night (900 frame avi's)

this is quick result from slightly better avi

using 127mm mak with x2 barlow f/23.6

conditions were poor at time of capture, slight mist, thin cloud

fog was approaching :)

took at least 10minutes to be happy with focus and

to see any detail on laptop screen

then took at least another 10m messing around with capture settings

stacked 400/900 frames Reg5

and have try'd to be gentle with wavelet processing

1st large pic is 200% resize when clicked on

bottom left pic is capture colour and original 100% size

altho it is obviously overblue capture colour

think this bit better than my last 2 attempts which have been 2green and 2yellow before that

any comments welcome

James

Wow, I'm jealous! This is amazing! This requires some skill from a webcam and clearly demonstrates that you do not need to break the bank to get excellent imagery.

Do you know how to nuke clouds (cheaply....)

:(

thx for comment

clouds problem for me 2 lol

wow great images, just getting in to it myself, how do you mount a webcam on to the back of eyepiece's. the set up i use only allows me t0 place my sn9c102 on its own or in to a Barlow.
