Hello all.

My name is Nick and I live in Liverpool. I have just received a Skywatcher Heritage 130P and this is my first telescope. I bought this scope for my daughter as her Christmas present and I am really looking forward to getting strated in Astronomy. I have bought the Nightwatch book and also the Starry Night Enthusiast software to help me get started.

Well I suggested one a few years back but ended up getting her something else. This year I am all out of ideas as she has everything you could think of, DS, TV/DVD, etc and then I remembered about the telescope.

I started looking around and decided to get a "proper" scope instead of a department store one and I am quite excited now and can't wait to get started! And yes this will be something for both of us I guess and if we both like it then we can look at something bigger and better in the future :eek: Cheeky I know. We bought "her" Rockband last year ahem :)

So this is 'your' first scope which you bought for your daughter! How did you get away with that?
