Do you know if the tails you can see are pointing away form the Sun?

If you can confirm that I would say its a cert that its the comet.

Cleaned it up since yesterday and it's looking better. There is only one lump in there so I messed up with Registax with the first go.

WRT the pointing direction, I really couldn't say which way it was pointing as I still can't get my head round which way things are when I'm looking down the EP. With the camera on it really is anybody's guess.

If anybody can infer the tail direction from comparing the image with M3 and M53, they had the same camera setup except perhaps for a slight camera rotation as I took it out and put it back after using an EP to get close to the target.

I'd guess the comet is heading West and South, which is towards bottom left on your photo...I might well be wrong though....
