Thick fog here. 

I've popped out a few times since. Looks like it peaked already.

Popped out earlier on around 9.30pm here in North Cornwall and got some aurora on the back of the dslr (only a smartphone capture) Not gone through the images yet. Couldn't see anything by eye but lovely on dslr. Canon 600D and Samyang 14mm f2.8. Be interesting to see the proper images.

A couple of piccys from a photo session from 22.05-22.41 tonight. Not really obvious NE, but certainly so with camera. All pics are with Canon 70d & 14mm Samyang wideangle  lens, 10 sec exposures at ISO 2500.

Very subtle from South Wales, but caught a magenta hue around 10.30 with iPhone over the house. Good to see some fine images from around the country.

We had phenomenal aurora australis activity last night, it was the best I've ever seen. Fast flashes, beams, greens, reds, pinks,, huge area, it had bands going past zenith. I don't think I'll ever see one like that again but man I hope I do! I could pick a bit of colour tinge with the naked eye two which was awesome.

Here are some unedited, single images but they don't do it justice. These were taken on Stewart Island/Rakiura, New Zealand with a Panasonic G85, 28mm equivalent wide angle lens. I've only tried to photograph an aurora once before (less than average results that time) but even a beginner like me couldn't really go too far wrong with a light show like this.

That glow on the horizon that some of you in the UK captured is unfortunately right where the Swindon skyglow is for me......,, :-<

Looks like it was a southern hemisphere event.

Seems like the 9-10pm one was more active, unfortunately fog ended play by then.
