Up here at 64 degrees I have six more weeks to wait. But when it gets dark, it gets dark fast, and the nights are long. I have more than 12 hours of astro dark for two months around christmas. Can be quit exhausting, frankly. But suits me well, I have a job that bends with the seasons, with many blank weeks during the winter. Actually, that's the main reason I took up this hobby last year. Haven't regretted a second!

Astro Dark returned about four or five days ago here.

I didn't notice, because it was accompanied by the return of Astro Cloud.

I'm further south in Carmarthenshire. Just into astro darkness here - my APT DC app (which I use all the time) gives me 00:42 - 2:13 tonight. And my forecast suggests clear until about 3am. Fingers crossed!

Home (at 53°N) doesn't get Proper Nighttime until Sunday 

However, we're just off to AstroFarm France (46° N) where we'll get over 4 hours

Next couple of days, starts round midnight Sunday 8th until 1:40 Mon am.

Perfect to test recently collected AVX in VGC; that'll be October by the times the skies clear
