The Tardis obsy is no more

The substantial additional timber is a really good example of how a standard shed just does not come up to the mark for an observatory conversion.

You do realise, that now you have an ordinary shed, rather than a conversation piece, there will pressure to move it into an obscure corner of the garden😄

Well, here's the replacement.

It's just a 4' x 4' shed bought for £400. I know it's not the TARDIS and just looks like an outdoor khazi, but it's pretty sturdy and, best of all, is waterproof!

You can't fool us , it's the TARDIS alright , just the chameleon circuit stuck again :)   Looks really smart, hope it serves you well.

I agree with @jjosefsen   the Tardis observatory was truly  one of the coolest observatories, sad to see it go.  And yes, you must surely replace it with something which will embarrass the children even more - it's the law :)

Good luck with the new build.

Jim

That would be fantastic. Also, I say "it's the law" about nearly everything and I didn't know that anyone else said that. I I don't even remember where I got it since I've been saying it so long. I remember seeing pictures of the tardist but I haven't in a while. Is that Newt 10"?

Why not go further. Everyone wants a flying saucer to land in their garden? Don't they..?

It’s a mini-Buzludzha 🇬🇧 / мини-Бузлуджа 🇧🇬

Below is the ‘full-size’ Buzludzha…

Sadly, this amazing piece of Soviet architecture is falling into a irrecoverable state of disrepair.

The distinctive blue-painted wood of my late Tardis now all cut up and helping to keep me warm during the current fuel crisis!

It helped to capture photons and it now become photons. It's the observatory that just keeps giving :)
