North American Neb

I took this on 31 October, but it was on a night when I had a few issues and didn't think I'd got much, so didn't process. In taking some files off the PC tonight I thought I'd have a bit of processing practice. So here is my first ever NA neb (and probably my last for this year given its position now!).

ZS66 mounted on an NS8, guided, SXVFH9 with Ha filter. 5x4min subs and 1x5min sub (clouded over ). Stacked in DSS, 2xdrizzle, finished in elements with a bit of Noel.

It would be nice to be able to get some serious long exposure data to play with!

Great picture Helen. I've always liked this area. As said above it's very smooth and detailed. It's amazing how soon you will be able to take this area again next year or is it me just getting older ?

Helen, I notice in your signature, it says, "near the bottom of the learning curve' - well, I reckon this image shows you're further up that curve than you think!

Saw this a few days ago, it is a delicate detailed image and very smooth and clear.
