Been at it since 7.30 ive managed one vid I think this could be my lot today the sky is deep dark, im still going to sit here for another hour just in case but its not looking good.

Very nice shot Charl. Have been observing this AR this morning, but not picking up the filaments that show so well in your image. Will have to back and try a re-tune of the Lunt..

I managed a quick visual with the Lunt this morning before the clouds rolled in.  It's a whopper!  The surrounding magnetic turmoil extends a considerable distance on the disk.  It's even visible by eye when looking through my baader film solar WL filter.
