It's just a shame they aren't offered with a choice of pillar or tripod. i really don't like tripods but ho hum.

I like mine. Heavy though. I think so anyway. OK for a young chap like you though I expect. I find it's best not to have to carry it too far and to keep it at waist height when storing it i.e. Never put it down on the floor to save yer back. The other thing I read recently was to always undo the clutches before carrying it to avoid putting stress on the mechanics. Do others do that?

Lovely mount Dave, I really enjoyed mine while I had it. I used it is Az mode all the time, couldn't fault it, but yes it is heavy!
