QHY5L-II support in PHD2

Hello Everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop and installed PHD2 in it. To my utter surprise the QHY5L-II guide camera is not working even though I've installed all drivers. It is able to connect to the camera, but no image. I then tried with PHD1 and it works just fine. I am wondering what may be the problem. Moreover, in PHD2 the QHY5L-II is not listed by name.

Hello Sathya,

You should use with PHD2 the ASCOM Driver of QHY, http://www.qhyccd.com/QHY5L-II.html download it here the ASCOM driver and with PHD2 you will then see your CCD.. I also have one and it works also for me, same should be the case if you use PHD2 and QHY CCD ( if all needed softwares are installed correctly )..

Mine works OK under PHD2......

Have you entered the pixel side and played with the exposure/gain sliders under the camera settings..if it's connected I'd say it's there but just needs correct exposure

Also is the guide scope focussed?

+1 for the ascom drivers.

In the drop down menu in PHD for the Camera, select QHY Camera. If using the ST4.

Recently with my qhy5 I installed the qhy5 driver and then had to install the ascom driver. It then connected in phd2 under qhy (ascom).

My QHY5L-II works fine in PHD2 and as previously stated you should be using the dedicated Ascom driver.
