Whatever happened to the call for energy conservation.
They won't be happy until every Nook and Cranny is ablaze with light
until Dawn. Utter waste.

Well the good news is that the Council came back within a few hours promising to fit 'front shades' to these lights, although I'm dubious about how much difference this would make as the things are so darned bright. Also the Council have put the one right by the garden on the midnight switch off scheme now (but this might change back to all night illumination after the shades are fitted anyway....).

The other good news is that I rarely, if ever observe from this garden anyway- but to me that is not the point. Why should people put up with such intrusion?
