This is an image shot in one night from my WO Star 71 dual rig.  Just R, G and B processed in PI and PS.

Details

  • Moravian G2-8300 x2
  • Baader filters
  • Red - 14 x 600s
  • Green - 14 x 600s
  • Blue - 14 x 600s

Which makes 7 hours straight.

Lovely image... I'm tipping my toes into imaging as well and it also looks lovely through the eyepiece...

It is a stunner through the eyepiece isn't it?  Thanks for your kind words.

Stormin!'  How many times have I said that the stars and the background sky are the hardest things to get right? And what could we possibly criticize about either in this image? Flat, neutral background and sizzling stars, rich in colour to the core, tight and bright.

I'm just as keen to spend other peoples' time as I am their money so may I suggest doing a Fabian Neyer on the Ha background???

Olly
