First DSLR image

M27 taken at the Salisbury star party with the 10" f/6.3 newt, EQ6 pro and un-modded Canon 400D.

20 x 60 second subs and 10 darks at ISO 800 stacked in DSS, levels and curves in PS CS3.

50% of full size;

Processing images this large has made me realise that I need a faster PC with huge amounts of memory :?

Thats a great image Ian with loads of contrast. My only comment is that it may be worth uping the green channel to balance the colour

Great First pic from the DSLR there! Nice contrast and focus lovely and sharp. What method did you use for focussing?

With such a great image I couldn't resist having a play to see if any more of the red data could be brought out some more.
