EQMOD and remote pad??

I know some you guys using EQMOD also use a wireless Rumblepad(?) instead of a mouse, is this the sort of thing/ will this suffice ?

NB I'm not a gamer so they all look the same to me ! Possibly a pressy (LIST) for forthcoming B'day.

I dont think it's suitable as it's for a playstation. Any PC pad will do, I bought a £7 wired one from Maplin and it works fine!

you can use an xbox 360 pad i believe with a wireless adapter connected to the pc.

others will confirm if this works or not.

I've pasted below a table of tested joysticks from the EQMOD Yahoo site. I have a cordless Rumblepad 2 and it works OK, but with a couple of irritating quirks that nobody else seems to enjoy.

I have a spare Xbox 360 wireless Handset here. have looked on Ebay for an adapter, no joy.

Is there an easy way to get the handset to talk to the EQMOD running on Windows XP?

Just bought the rumblepad 2 for £10 on ebay...hope it all works as expected

I, being a BoF, went for the Logitec wireless numerical key pad for the EQmod. Works very well, but I found it needs a direct line of sight to the wireless adaptor in the laptop which can be difficult at times. The range seems to be 3 - 5mtr.

I had a wired numeric pad, but it was always a bit of a faff... if this one doesn't pan out, I may try the wireless numeric route

I use a Wiimote, it's brilliant. Maybe I can add a nunchuck for the focusing...

I think it's the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter (F8T012-1) with a Broadcomm stack (on Windows XP laptop).

I got a Saitek wireless non-rumble gamepad off ebay. It just worked, nothing more to say really.
