Jupiter from Bembridge - 09/05

Unusually things were fair and pretty stable last night and I managed to get a dozen decent runs in - might even feel an animation coming on!

Anyway a quick taster for anyone watching - I believe that Ganymede was in transit, though I lost it after it crossed on to the disk - maybe it went behind!

Resized 125% but otherwise a very quick trial process - never seem to get much further than this, but perhaps one wet week I may get some time to settle in to it ;)

Thats a tidy image.
Seeing Jupiter like this, is pushing my desire to warrant owning a 12" scope, but I already decided to keep the 8" for much longer.

Or move  to Bembridge - IOW.  At least my sky will be a little darker during the Summer!

Very nice indeed Jake! Nice detail including both the GRS and the economy version, Oval BA. Ganymede did indeed disappear behind the big lad. Was out last night myself and got a few runs in variable conditions.

Just been outside to have a look at the sky, its near 2230 BST and still light enough to read a newspaper in the shadows of my garden.

The clouds a killer - hopefully tomorrow will be clear.  Still worth having a go at dusk and Dawn if you can find Jupiter, it's bright enough even as the sky turns blue.
