it's wall to wall here, and no sign of a clear patch. I havent seen a blue or black sky for over a week now.

Here in Aylesbury we had about an hour of almost totally clear skies this afternoon - by 6 this evening it was back to thick grey cloud - and it doesn't look any better for the weekend

i managed an hour or so on the south coast near Worthing. Just clouded over again

I've just got the cloud here, although andromeda is still showing, so hoping to get gaps in the cloud, going to pack up in an hour if nothing shows. Good time while it lasted though, roll on tomorrow night and saturday.....

EDIT:

Just had a look at the IR sat and it looks like the south east coast (london, kent, essex, some of sussex) might get a bit more of a clear patch, having said that I cannot be held responsible for the boredom and frustration of anyone that does tough it out and wait for the clear patch if it doesn't show.

Same up here in North Wales. Very mild, but overcast!

I hear Saturday might have some hopes for a clear evening.
